The first flakes have started to fly... These means it is time to make sure you have your ski pass for the 2023-2024 ski season. If you ski more than 4-5 days a year, it can be significantly less expensive to buy a ski pass. In Colorado we have EPIC and IKON passes. Choosing between the Epic Pass and the Ikon Pass can be a tough decision for avid skiers and snowboarders. With both offering access to a multitude of world-class ski resorts, it's important to evaluate the benefits and features of each pass before making a purchase.

These perks can make a significant difference in the overall cost of a ski trip, especially for those traveling in groups. Another advantage of the Epic Pass is its inclusion of some of the most iconic ski resorts in North America. Resorts like Park City Mountain in Utah and Heavenly Mountain in Lake Tahoe are renowned for their extensive terrain, impeccable grooming, and diverse amenities. With the Epic Pass, skiers and snowboarders have the opportunity to explore these world-class destinations, making unforgettable memories along the way.

In Colorado a full Ikon pass offers access to Aspen, Snowmass (7 days), Copper Mountain, Araphoe Basin, Steamboat & Winter Park Similar to the Epic Pass, the Ikon Pass provides unlimited access to its affiliated resorts. This means that pass holders can enjoy unrestricted skiing and snowboarding at their favorite destinations. In addition to the skiing and snowboarding benefits, the Ikon Pass provides various discounts and perks. Pass holders can enjoy discounts on dining, retail, and equipment rentals at the affiliated resorts. They also have the opportunity to purchase discounted lift tickets for their friends and family. These additional savings can greatly enhance the overall experience and make the Ikon Pass an attractive option.

How did I make a decision??

It is a hard choice. I love skiing the back bowls of Vail, and I love skipping the tunnel on a snowy day and heading to Winter Park Chutes. Ultimately I choose both. I bought a 5 day epic pass, and an Ikon pass to have access to Steamboat, Snowmass and Winter Park.
